DESCRIPTION:Traditional Curbside Collection on Regularly Scheduled Residential Service Day: May 16 – 20\, 2022 \nEDCO’s Coronado Community Cleanup Event gives residents an opportunity to place unwanted bulk items curbside that are too large or heavy to put inside collection carts\, such as broken appliances\, water heaters\, furniture\, old mattresses (please wrap mattresses prior to setting out – special mattress disposal bags can be purchased at hardware stores or on their websites)\, and other miscellaneous bulky household clutter.  \nAll yard waste will be recycled and must be bagged or bundled. Tree trimmings should be cut into 3’ lengths and tied securely into bundles not greater than 18” in diameter. Debris from contractors\, landscapers or commercial businesses will NOT be accepted. No Hazardous Waste Accepted. \nThis year’s cleanup will take place the week of May 16th – 20th on your regularly scheduled residential curbside collection day (please put items out on the curb with your regular collection carts by 6 a.m.). \nFREE MULCH! Once again EDCO will have mulch available for self-load/self-haul at the corner of A Avenue and 2nd Street\, by the Little League field\, for Coronado residents only. Come early and bring a shovel to get your compost while it lasts! If you plan to haul your compost in an open truck or trailer\, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material.

DESCRIPTION:The San Diego Book Crawl is back to in-person crawling for the first time since 2019\, with more prizes and more independent bookstores to visit and support! This year’s Crawl is our Fifth Annual\, lasts 3 days and stretches from Coronado to Del Mar\, starting Saturday April 30th\, in conjunction with Independent Bookstore Day. \nCoronado’s own Bay Books is participating! \nThe San Diego Book Crawl is an annual event\, since 2018\, coinciding with the national Independent Bookstore Day\, encouraging San Diegans to visit as many of the 11 participating local independent bookstores as possible over 3 days. Book Crawlers receive a Book Crawl ‘Passport’ at their first bookstore stop and receive a stamp in that passport when they spend at least $5 at any of the participating stores. The more stamps you collect\, the more prizes you win. (While supplies last.)
